Power Surge Live -- Guest: Dr. Aaron Tabor

Lucinda: Everyone, I just heard from Dearest. She is at her mother's taking care of her mother. She's having problems logging into the chat room with the laptop she keeps there. She extends her apologies to Dr. Tabor and everyone and asked if I'd host tonight's chat.

Dr. Aaron Tabor: I'm sorry to hear Dearest's mom is not doing well. I know Dearest has been under stress. She and her mom need our prayers!

Lucinda: Dearest's guest tonight is Aaron Tabor, M.D., Medical Director of Physicians Pharmaceuticals, a group of mainstream medical doctors trained at top health institutes, such as Johns Hopkins. Dr. Tabor directed the team of physicians that developed Revival Soy Protein, a patented manufacturing process that allows a single small serving of Revival to naturally contain the same amount of plant estrogens found in a pound of tofu.

Revival delivers the benefits of soy without the usual bulk or bad taste. Physicians Laboratories conducts human clinical studies using Revival Soy Protein at premier medical institutes. Studies include the effects of soy isoflavones on breast, endometrial and prostate cancer. Revival is now recommended by more doctors than any other brand of soy and holds 12 patents and counting.

Dr. Tabor believes that patients have the right to learn about nutritional management therapies from their physician or other health care providers, not the college kid at the health food store. Physicians Laboratories is dedicated to making soy an accepted mainstream nutritional option. Revival has quickly become the #1 Doctor-recommended soy protein.

It's wonderful to welcome you back. We appreciate your expertise and dedication to Power Surge!

As we enter into and travel through the menopausal years, what with all the confusion about synthetic hormones and herbs, we yearn to know what's *SAFE* for treating our symptoms. Can you tell us about Revival? Why you made it? And what makes it different?

Dr. Aaron Tabor: We will miss Dearest tonight! But I'm glad that Lucinda is so capable! Revival Soy was created to help my own mother going through menopause. She was having an awful time with fatigue, mood swings, insomnia and hot flashes. She asked me for help! The say Necessity is the Mother of Invention and in this case that is certainly true. Within a few weeks she had a noticeable improvement and states that Revival gave her the best health of her life. Revival is very different because just 1 bar or shake contains the amount of isoflavones found in 6 cups of a typical soy milk. We patented a way to use more of the heart of the soybean. And, Revival doesn't taste like soy.

Thousands of doctors have recommended Revival and we have 20 clinical trials starting or underway. It certainly isn't your typical supermarket soy!

Lucinda: Wow! I love a man who takes care of his mother! And you're right, it doesn't taste like soy. I've been drinking the shakes for 4 years and love the chocolate!

Once again - thank you for being here tonight!

IsabellaMacPherson: Why does it seem that I have breast tenderness after I drink Soy milk? I like the taste but with all the hormones in it, I wonder if its the best for me.

Dr. Aaron Tabor: Soy will not raise your hormone levels. Studies show that if you consume enough soy it will actually lower your hormonal levels to more balanced levels. The term "plant estrogen" is incorrect, or "plant hormones". That was coined about 30 years ago I believe. Since then we've learned that soy has many beneficial 'anti-estrogen' like properties that could product good health support. I don't know of any clinical studies showing soy would increase breast tenderness. I would try a different brand of soy milk.

Lucinda: What is safe is a good question! There are so many articles every day about something being good for you ... and then bad for you. Dr. Tabor, How do soy isoflavones work in estrogenic ways without creating risks to our health?

Dr. Aaron Tabor: Soy may have a mild estrogenic effect in certain tissues that would be considered beneficial. For example, in bone tissues. Many studies suggest that soy could be an important part of your nutritional plan to support better bone health. Of course, calcium and weight-bearing exercise are important too. The key is to get enough soy nutrients (isoflavones) and soy protein to experience benefits. Even the FDA's heart health claim requires 25 grams of soy protein per day to help reduce risk of heart disease. That's a lot of soy milk servings, and to get bone support, many experts say that about 140 mg of total isoflavones is required for best support. That's 4 to 6 cups of soy milk per day.

We've made it easier by making soy taste good (much better than soy milk in our opinion) and naturally-concentrating the soy shakes and bars so that one serving gives you 160 milligrams of soy isoflavones. We feel this level is the amount needed to experience the full benefits of soy isoflavones, and because Revival tastes so good it is easy to get enough protein for good benefits.

PinkRose4955: Dr. Tabor, is it better to drink soy milk better than hormone pills? Is it more safe?

Dr. Aaron Tabor: The largest government study found that HRT was more dangerous than previously believed. You need to speak to your own doctor about the benefits and risks of HRT. Many of our customers use Revival along with many other medications. We encourage our customers to use their physician to get the most out of using Revival Soy. The FDA has not issued any warnings about soy protein. Although there are critics of soy, just like there are critics of milk, beef, etc., no conclusive evidence has shown soy causes any harm. Soy milk is a good product particularly if you are trying to avoid lactose. To read a comparison of Revival Soy versus Soy milk, visit http://www.revivalsoy.com/whyrevival/

Revival is a much better value than soy milk when comparing equal isoflavone amounts and you won't get nearly as much fat when consuming Revival Soy.

Lucinda: Interesting Dr. Tabor!

Kates: Hello Dr. Tabor, I'm wondering, I've been looking at your website and your products. I'd like to give your bars and shakes a try. What can you recommend I try when I haven't had any chocolate, sweets, dairy, fruit or soy for years?

Dr. Aaron Tabor: If you are trying to avoid all sugar, we have great UNSWEETENED shakes that you can add your own choice of sweetener too. Also, our shakes mix great with water, so you don't have to use milk. Also, our soy chips and soy pasta are great products to boost soy protein intake. To view all of the products, visit http://www.revivalsoy.com/products/

Lucinda: I am borderline diabetic and have to watch my sugar intake closely! I have been using Revival Soy Chocolate shakes - with Splenda - for years. It has actually helped lower my cholesterol. and I love the taste. I drink them for breakfast and I am not hungry until lunch. They are also filling.

For those interested in information about Revival Soy Protein Shakes, you can read more about Revival at: http://www.power-surge.com/revival1.htm. You can also ask the Medical Director, Dr. Aaron Tabor anything you want about soy, menopause, hormones, et al at www.power-surge.com/asktheexperts.htm.

Dr. Aaron Tabor: Our Splenda shakes are fabulous! And have around 130 calories per shake with 20 grams of soy protein, 160 milligrams of soy isoflavones and 500 milligrams of calcium.

KathyT: You have a new low carb bar. How does the taste measure up? I love the regular bars, but the low carb ones have a funny aftertaste. Is it the sugar alcohols?

Dr. Aaron Tabor: We have a new Low-Carb/Smart-Carb bar called Chocolate Peanut Butter Paradise! It doesn't have a bitter aftertaste/funny aftertaste. It is the best bar we have in my opinion. We do have a 100% Great Taste Guarantee™ so if you don't agree that our products taste great, just send them back for a refund (less shipping and handling). My mother is a wonderful cook and picky eater. She won't let me market anything unless it is great ha ha. The bar has quickly become our best selling bar. It is packed with protein and isoflavones. You can read about it at http://www.revivalsoy.com/products/bars/.

KathyT: I will try the new bar. Thanks!

Lucinda: Chocolate and Peanut Butter sounds like paradise to me!

NorthCarolinaHappy: Dr Tabor thank you for being here for us. I had a complete hysterectomy 2 years ago. Would this help me in any way?

Dr. Aaron Tabor: We have many customers with "surgical menopause" that have found Revival Soy to be a healthy part of their overall plan. Revival Soy is not a replacement for your doctor's advice and regular care. We have a great article on soy and menopause at http://www.revivalsoy.com/whysoy/.

Over 14 clinical studies now suggest that soy helps support the midlife transition.

IsabellaMacPherson: Dr Tabor, can Soy/Revival help lower high Cholesterol? Also do you drink and eat this product yourself?

Dr. Aaron Tabor: The FDA approved an official government health claim for soy in 1999 that eating 25 grams of soy protein per day as part of a diet low in saturated fat and cholesterol may lower risk of heart disease. Many, many studies have shown that soy can help lower cholesterol. An article in our upcoming newsletter (will be posted March 1st at http://www.revivalsoy.com/home/newsletter/ shows that the more higher levels of soy isoflavones produce better cholesterol reduction results. Most see cholesterol benefits with soy after 3 to 6 months of daily use. For a time table on when to expect results with soy, I recommend you read http://www.revivalsoy.com/whysoy/

I use Revival Soy every day. I typically start my day with soy shake or bar and then use our soy chips, soynuts and soy pasta to keep me energized the rest of the day. We have a good article on soy and heart health at http://www.revivalsoy.com/whysoy/.

Lucinda: I believe that Revival has helped lower my cholesterol.

Dr. Aaron Tabor: That is great news Lucinda. I need to point out that soy can also help many people with high cholesterol by helping them lose some weight safely. We have 4 great tools for weight loss at http://www.revivalsoy.com/whysoy/.

Marlo: HI! Dr. Tabor. Thank You so much for your fantastic products. I have been drinking Chocolate Daydream and others for five years. It's better than a hot chocolate. My question to you is that after I drink the shake in the morning, a half an hour later I get hot flashes. Why?

Dr. Aaron Tabor: Marlo, thank you for the feedback!

It makes our hard work worthwhile. I do not know of any scientific reason that you would experience hot flashes a half hour later. It could be that you are more prone to having hot flashes during that time of day (?) and it is coincidental. Are you feeling better overall? Many women report improved energy and better hair and nails with Revival Soy use. It certainly helped my mother. She has great hair to be approaching 60! You can read her story at http://www.revivalsoy.com/home/about/

Marlo: Yes, I am. MY hair is great, and so are my nails and skin. It also helps in other categories too. Thanks again. Keep up the good work!

Kates: Dr. Tabor, I fear I may have digestive problems with soy, but I also cannot swallow pills like your digestive enzymes. What do you suggest?

Dr. Aaron Tabor: Kates, you can simply untwist the capsule on the digestive enzyme and blend it right into your Revival shake as you are mixing it. This should do the trick! You can also eat a smaller portion (half of the shake in the morning and half of it at lunch/afternoon).

Lucinda: Very smart Dr. Tabor!

WintersKisss: Does Revival increase thyroid production and is that how it gives one more energy ?

Dr. Aaron Tabor: Several animal studies have shown that soy increases thyroid production but no human studies have shown that soy increases or decreases thyroid production to my knowledge. You can read more about soy and thyroid health at http://www.revivalsoy.com/whysoy/. Soy has not been shown to harm thyroid in humans. Soy may help improve energy by several mechanisms. Soy protein is rich in "branched-chain" amino acids that can be used a fuel by the body. We have a great review on soy and energy at http://www.revivalsoy.com/whysoy/. And we just posted some new information on that same page on research studies suggesting soy may be better than whey protein for exercisers because it serves as an antioxidant.

IsabellaMacPherson: Can I get Revival in Southern Ontario, Canada?

Dr. Aaron Tabor: Yes, we do ship to Canada. The best way is to email customercare@revivalsoy.com to arrange the best way to ship. Mention code #3000 to get a free variety kit with your first order too.

FlyFisher: Thanks! You just answered my question about my low thyroid and soy. (I am on Armour thyroid supplement) I had been told that I shouldn't take in too much soy so I stopped eating/drinking it.

Dr. Aaron Tabor: Many common foods like products with calcium or walnuts, should be taken at a different time of the day including a different time of day than soy. To read about how much soy we recommend, visit http://www.revivalsoy.com/whysoy/

It is easy to control the amount of soy you intake with Revival. If your own healthcare provider has recommended a certain intake level, you can easily use 1/2 serving, etc. per day.

FlyFisher: Thanks! Since I take the supplement in the morning, I'll do a shake in the afternoon.

PinkRose4955: Is soy also good for weight loss? I am very concerned over my weight. Thank you for all answers tonight.

Dr. Aaron Tabor: Soy can help you feel fuller longer. Soy protein is low-carb, and has a low-glycemic index. We have 2 very good articles I would recommend at http://www.revivalsoy.com/whysoy/.

VERY GOOD questions! We have made many updates to our website so make sure to visit http://www.revivalsoy.com/

Also, you can read about Revival's patent at http://www.revivalsoy.com/whyrevival/ and other patents that we are developing. Thank you all for attending.

Lucinda: Dr. Tabor, thanks so much for joining us again tonight to field our questions about soy, menopause, how our health can benefit from Revival soy in general. Everyone can read more about Revival Soy Protein at: www.power-surge.com/revival1.htm. You can also call their toll-free number, 1-800-700-1560, for additional information.

Hopefully, next time Dearest can be with us :)
