I believe that there IS some help to be found in this area. For a while I was on Premarin and before my new doctor decided to switch me to Estoidal, she urged me to have a cup of Black Cohash everyday to stop hot flashes. It worked for a few hours.  Because of finances, I we decided Estroidal was the way to go.  I remember in what must of been the beginning of "the pause" drinking that tea and it really helped. After I had to have a hysterectomy a few years later I relyed on it again for a while.  I'm sure you are at the place (PS) to learn a LOT about this subject.

I'm glad you found this sight.

I'm am pretty distracted today (I'm moving) but I did want to tell you that anything can be taken too much and that applies to homeopathy also. It would be wise to get qualified help learn all about a substance before you take anything.  I've had good luck with Valeran root extract and teas to aid in sleeping. It tastes really nasty but some forms of the tea are ok. Beware that the V root extract in capsules can be VERY stinky and stink up everything that touches it. Not all tea does that. Mint in the tea formulas helps a lot.  That is preferrable to me.    St. John's Wort is not meant for someone with bi-polar disorder. Many people don't know that.  So for every condition you may have , such as diabetis, epilepsy, and othersuch conditions please check out Every alt. med out there for each condition. Many people do not fully realize that these are true MEDICATIONS with all the contradictions of over the counter and prescription have. So to all you interested Good Luck and Be Safe
