Hey I am new here as well. I am 24 years old, and i started my period when i was 15. i have never had a normal period. when i first started it would be 5 to 7 months before i would have a period until i was about 22 or 23, then for about 3 months, they came rigular, and now i am 24 and haven't had a period in a while, some months. i am still a virgin, so that automatically marks pregnant off the list. so what do you guys think it might be. i never did hurt when i had a period, it just "shuck up" on me. i would bleed for about 3 or 4 days and quit. I have really good health, i have only been to the doctor 4 times in 3 years and that was because of a sinus infection. and i have never been to a gynocologist because i was afraid they would hurt me being that i am still a virgin, does anyone know anything about this?
Trina,
It can be PCOS, and you can get it Dx by blood test and pelvic ultrasound, that is external. Go to gyno and explain it, no period means unovulation, and this is very improtant for a young women to have regular periods to be healthy. Actually, regular periods are indicator of a female health in general.
HTH,
I.
