ack I feel like crap. I am 36- have 5 kids and stopped having periods about a year ago. When I mentioned to my doc that I hadn't had a period in 4 months (yes that was months ago) he gave me Provera to take for a little over a week. then a few days later I finally had a period. That was back in early March. I haven't had a period since then, AGAIN. My doc tells me I am too young to be in menopause but the nurse practioner totally agrees with me that I very well could be. Anyway, this is getting insane for me. I keep thinking I'm pregnant. I keep taking pregnancy tests KNOWING they will be negative. (lol) But I get this morning sickness feeling at night really bad- sometimes during the day. No periods for 5 months again now... I have alot of the symptoms of menopause that I read thru on here... I guess I just wonder if anyone else feels "morning sickness-y?"

It's so odd to me. My periods were like clockwork. Then exactly around a year ago they just 'stopped.' didn't go to 'irregular' or heavy or light.. just plain stopped.... it felt good to have a period after that doctor gave me the provera- but the period was 9 days long and heavyyyyy- (and I had to fly that week- it was no fun.) I'm about ready to ask for those pills again, as my belly is just so big and swollen and bloated feeling. I just don't understand how I went from normal cycling to THIS. (so quickly and abruptly?) Any advice would be really really appreciated.

I also feel kinda down bcus altho I DO NOT want anymore children, I feel like the option to have them has been taken from me now- it's somewhat depressing for me.
Ps.. I have had a pap and all that and they said "everything was normal" I had some bloodwork done and "everything was normal." IT'S SO FRUSTRATING!!!!

Hi Racquel,
How old was your youngest child when your periods completely stopped? I'm also supposing you weren't breastfeeding because not menstruating would have been normal if that was the case.

Also adding that from the posts I've read here, that morning sickness-y feeling is pretty normal as well.
I always hated that. I had it so bad. So NOT looking forward to that again. At least when you're pregnant, that feeling comes with a reward!!

Hi there, thanks so much for responding! Well my youngest was 5 when my periods stopped all together. (she's 6 now.) I think if the doc hadn't induced my last period w/ provera- i'd be a year with no period now. Yes, I know what u mean about the pregnant morning sickness compared to THIS.. lol. No reward here- well except the light at the end of the tunnel when this is just over with! lol
