I have a long history of endometriosis all the way back to early 80's. I am almost 50 and have been meno for almost 2 years. The further I got from peri the less the endo hurt until it became a thing of the past.

In April I started working with the bioidenticals and so far haven't found a balance. What I've noticed is that soon after starting on the Estradiol cream I started feeling the heavy lower ab feeling like I used to feel leading up to a period. After 2 months on E alone, we added P cream in contiuous fashion. I did have a short, light period after a month of P. At that point, stopped the E cause Dr thought I must have too much if having a period and increased the P. BAD idea... got horribly depressed. Depression is a major issue for me and I actually felt wonderful when taking both the E and the P continuous. As soon as I stopped the E and increased the P - depression.

So anyway, I'm back to E again, but have switched to the Vivelle dot at .05 - changing every 3.5 days. My meno symptoms of hot flashes, night sweats and dry vagina are gone. Still fuzzy brained, tired and depressed. Also I noticed that the low ab heavy feeling has returned and my ab is quite bloated. I added a tiny amount of P about a week ago since I'd felt my absolute best the month I was on both.

My question is - which causes the lower ab heavy feeling - the E or the P - or is that as individual as everything else hormone related?

Thanks for this wonderful site. Jeanne
