Full Version: Fluid in Uterus

I had an ultrasound done about a month ago and the doctor briefly mentioned that I had a bit of fluid in my uterus. She didn't seem too concerned, but I'm wondering what could have caused this to occur and if anyone else has experiened excess fluid in their uterus?

The ultrasound was done about a day before my period started so I'm wondering if that had anything to do with the excess fluid.

Hopefully someone will know what I'm talking about and can shed some light.

Thanks ladies for your input. smile.gif

Why did you get ultrasound, was there any problem to beging with? Did your doctor mention how thick was endometrial lining? I would insist on getting endometrial biopsy. This procedure is very easy, takes 10 seconds, and can be done at the office. Slight cramping after. Not to scare you, but better safe than sorry.
Hope it turns out to be nothing.
Good luck, and keep us posted.

Since my period started the next day that was probably the fluid that the tech saw. I will mention the biopsy to my doctor. One of the reasons for the ultrasound was because I have fibroids and had a polyp removed several years ago.

Thanks for mentioning the endometrial biopsy...I'm due for a physical in a couple of weeks so I'll discuss this with the dr. when I make my appointment.

Have a great day!
