I am having some symptoms which i am very unsure whats happening with my periods also other symptoms. I am 33 and have 2 children aged 9 and 6. I am not on the pill or taken any recently.
Thought you might be able to help.
About a year ago my hair started falling out and has gone alot thinnner and lossing alot everyday but i noticed areas it has not grown back.
I have felt very emotional and hormonal even between periods. I dont sleep very well and have been getting hot flushess I have been to the hospital about my hair loss but i did not have the night sweats and they could not find anything wrong. thyroid ok. I can have my temperature feel like I am shivering.
My periods have been getting later each month , I always used to have a 27/28 day cycle now it goes from starting day 24 to 32/33. One month a had spotting in between for a day. Just wondered if this sound like early meopause symptoms.

Have had bad headaches. I feel really nausea and dizzy.I also feel weak, also feeling irritable emotional overwhelmed. I feel shaky inside, dry skin.
Puffy fingers like fluid retention especially when i wake up in the mornings

Just been to drs and they found my oestrogen level to be 167. She says it could be higher i think she said 200. Does any one know what it should be

What should this be and is there a website that explains about.
I am having another test next month and she talked about putting me on the pill to up it if she still thinks i need it.
also would this mean i am going to have an early menopause. Its all very confusing.
any advice.

Opal, you've already found the website that explains everything about menopause, early menopause, perimenopause etc smile.gif

Your symptoms could well be the start of an early menopause.

This if from a post by Dearest, founder of Power Surge:

Remember, these boards, as supportive, active and wonderful as they are, are only a small part of an enormous award-winning Web site, with a wealth of information to help you. I hope you'll visit What is Power Surge? to read a little more about this community and hear a personal message I've made just for you.

Where do I begin?

There's so much valuable information on the site. For example, there are some basic introductory articles, such as Power Surge's Menopause Survival Tips, and What's A Hot Flash? and About Your Hormones and a simple explanation of menopause in the Menopause Primer, Midlife Sexuality, Relationships / Vaginal Dryness and many, many others including, of course, Being The Best You and the ever popular Recommendations Area.

You'll want to read through the wonderful articles that go into detail about estrogen, progesterone, testosterone, DHEA and other hormones; depression, panic attacks, heart issues, phytoestrogens, exercise, mood swings, weight and vaginal issues, dealing with anger and mood swings and much, much more in the Educate Your Body and Newsworthy areas -- and don't forget the hundreds of transcripts in the library of some of the most prominent names in the area of women's health!

I'm also providing some convenient links at the bottom of this message. With knowledge you will arm yourself with the information you need to make educated decisions regarding how you approach menopause. The Recommendations page provides many methods of treatment, as do the guest transcripts in the library, replete with chats with some of the most prestigious names in the area of women's health. There's the newsletter and resources area, the Educate Your Body articles, and the Ask The Experts area includes Medical Doctor (Phillip O. Warner, M.D.), Revival Soy Doctor (Dr Aaron Tabor), The Pharmacist (Pete Hueseman, R.Ph., P.D.), OB-Gyn (Dr. Duane Townsend), Psychiatrist (Stuart Shipko) answers questions about Anxiety, Panic and Stress, The Relationship Expert (Steven Carter), The Intimacy Expert (Dr. Sandy Scantling), The Weight Watchers Expert (Denise Lamothe). You'll also find quizzes, polls, greeting cards, the women's pages, the male point of view, q-aire's, et al.

There's a comprehensive article about hair less/hair thinning in the Educate Your Body area of Power Surge. The article is at: www.power-surge.com/educate/hairloss.htm

Here's a link to the thread about hair loss on the message boards... hang on and I'll give you a couple more links.....Looking Good During Menopause » Hair loss

You'll find many, many other excellent articles in that area as well as all over the site. You can always use the general search. (unrelated to the message board search) to find any information you're seeking.

Best of luck to you!
