hi, well i finally got my bloodwork back and to be honest the dr wasn't very helpful in telling me if i was peri or not... here's what it reads...
Luteinizing hormone 11.0
follicle stimulating hormone 18.5
TSH 0.64
Estradiol 101
Free T4 0.85
Any ideas or comments are welcomed!
Thank you!
Tina
Tina,
The only one I can help you with is the Estradiol: Depending on what day in your cycle you had the test this is what my lab work says:
From day 1 of your cycle:
2 days later: 58-157
6 days later: 60-211
12 days later: 55-150
12 days before period: 19-83
4 days before period: 64-183
1 day before period: 150-528
I am surprised they didn't check your progesterone level and cortisol level..that would let you know how you are estrogen vs progesterone..like my estrogen was WAY elevated and my progesterone was WAY low..so of course it was easy to see I was estrogen dominant and my cortisol was high..which let my Dr know my adrenals were working too hard..adrenal fatigue..
Hope that helps at least a little! But please call them back and ask them questions..if they can't help you, find a midwife or GYN who specializes in perimenopause. When I first started, I called and asked somewhere "Do you specialize in that" and the girl said "well we deal with everything"..so right there I knew that was NOT the place for me. The next place I called, I asked the same thing, and they said "Oh yes, we have a midwife (my doctor now) who specializes in peri and menopausal stuff" and I said "sign me up!"..she is GREAT!
