I am 44 (time is flying these days!)

and have several peri symptoms, one of which is dryness as evidenced by the increasing need for lubricant during sex.
Now...I am finding that many days I feel like I have cotton between my vulvar lips and it has a slight burning feeling. Is that what other people are feeling? I feel like my underware have been wedged up in there all day.
I know they call it vaginal dryness but it's my vulva that is dry. I feel like I need to smear SOMETHING on it for relief! What that is, I have no idea.
Just want to compare notes and see if this in fact part of the dryness of peri!!!
Hey Toobusy I hear you!!!! You described it to a tee. Have you tried Vitamin E, you buy the capsules and cut them and put some right on the vulva part. Its a lil sticky after but it works. I suffered terribly from this for a long time and found the Vitamin E to be soothing, I tried all kinds of lubs. and really didnt relieve my problem cause I think its hormonel dryness. I did come across a salve made up of calendula, vit. e, essential oils and another thats great that has a whole bunch of great natural ingredients. I just after 6months of pain free started up again after my period and put one of these salves for 2 days and its gone, what a relief. Anyway do try the Vitamin E and see if that helps. I read that the vulva are starts to become thin and we need to nourish it, oh the joys, Take care, Tinkybug
