I don't know if this is posted anywhere else on the board, but does anyon ever suffer from swollen ankles or puffy fingers ? I feel like a water balloon that's about to burst! Just got back from a walk with my hubby (to lose the 5 pounds I gained practically overnight) and my ankles are so swollen and fingers are so puffy! Please tell me this is normal! Thanks, Ladies!

Hi Ajay,
Yup, I have the same problem every two months or so. I'm 58 and will have made it a whole year June 1st with no period. Finally!

The water does seem to just come up out of nowhere and I have gained 4 pounds within a day. It makes my legs feel tingly and the skin feels tighter too. I know it has to do with hormone levels because it goes away in about 2 days.

Besides making you feel fat and miserable the extra water can make your blood pressure go up. Try to drink extra water it does help.
I'm sure you'll get lotsa replies on this subject!
Take Care,
Bitsy

Snap Bitsy. I'm coming up to a year too (however this is the second time!). I had bad puffy ankles the weekend before last, which made my skin feel so tight. They went down when I put my feet up but swelled up again when I was on my feet. I had tingly fingers too.

Usually this occasionally happens in very hot weather but the weather wasn't that good at the time.

(THis didn't post at the time, so I hope I don't repeat myself! blink.gif )

Good Morning, Alice3 and Bitsy! I forgot to mention that my skin also feels very tight! I have never had this problem before now. When I looked down and saw my "lephant ankles"I started to fret because I remember how my dad used to have huge ankleswhen he had heart disease. That got me to wondering if that's what's wrong with me,...and well, you know how that goes. One worry leads to the next to the next to the next. Ugh. I'm not overweight...by much...maybe 5 pounds. But that 5 pounds came out of nowhere! I'll try drinking more water. I know I probably don't drink enough, but I know why. It's becauseI don't want to run to the bathroom all day! laugh.gif Anyway- thank you for replying. I feel much better now. Have a great day, ladies!
