Hi everyone, I'm back and am nearly 2 weeks post op! The doctor found my uteras was the size of a cantaloupe instead of the lemon size they should be. I had fibroids and andeomyosis (I hope I've spelt that correctly) Have been told to take things very easy for the next 6 weeks and do whatever my body tells me. Being in hospital was amazing as I actually had time to myself and would you believe I even wrote poetry despite the recovery pain etc..... Thanks to everyone who was praying and supporting me through this time. I hope that this will be the start of a new journey into wellness as I'd travelled the other road for nearly 9 years!! God has been a great friend through this time and I'm sure glad I had my faith to confront certain fears along the way. Let me know if you've had a hyster and how you are going now?
Will let you know how I get on, but for now I'm enjoying the 6 hours sleep or more that I'm getting as it's been a long time that i could stay in bed all night without getting up 3-4 times to go you know where. But now i know my uteras was huge my poor bladder didn't have enough room to function correctly. Look forward to hearing other responses. Cheers CC smile.gif

Aw, CC that is great news!! smile.gif

So glad the surgery's over, and you are in recovery phase, and actually even having some nice moments - writing poetry! That's sooooo cool! Will you share some with us? wink.gif

Praying your healing goes beautifully, and you'll soon feel much, much better. Doing whatever your body wants to do was excellent advice from your doc. By taking the time now, you get to heal completely, and then you can resume living like you want to!

Thanks so much for letting us know how it went, and that you're doing so well. God bless your attitude! wub.gif

Good for you CC...that's wonderful!! What a fabulous spirit and attitude. Depite having to go thru a surgery - you've seen the good thing about it...Kinda like you're seeing the cup 1/2 full instead of half empty - I like people like that biggrin.gif .

Did you have a total hysterectomy or partial (still have the ovaries)... I had a partial many moons ago...and believe it or not - the only thing I missed was getting periods - I know ...that's sick huh laugh.gif ... Mainly to keep better track of peri. and how far and close I am to the end of the peri. tunnel...

After the surgery - I really didn't have any problems other then feeling a little more tired then normal...for a few months afterward too...

I did light cleaning, etc. during the first few weeks...After 5 or 6 weeks - I felt ok to vacumme and basically go back to normal... Best wishes and blessing to you.
