Hi, I'm new to the board and found this site because I was doing research on Prempro.
I have been taking Prempro since January. It has helped tremendously with menopausal symptoms, especially the vaginal dryness. I recently had my annual physical and my blood pressure which has been normal until now, was pretty high. (I'm 56 btw) My GP told me that I should contact my GYN and tell her about this. He recommended that I come off the Prempro but he put me on a BP med which I wasn't too happy about. I called my GYN and she advised me to wean myself off the Prempro and prescribed a vaginal cream instead. I'm two weeks into the weaning process now and of course the hot flashes and night sweats are returning. Guess I can live with them. Anyone else get high blood pressure from taking Prempro? What did you do?
