Hi peggy sue
Just want to say- I tried estrogen patches last year. i went mental within hours of putting one on.
I felt hyped up, anxious, had palpitations and couldnt sleep at night! I tried putting one on for half a day, that didnt work. I tried cutting one in half and putting it on for half a day-I still felt awful! I had to give up!
Just a suggestion-you may already be producing too much estrogen in relation to progesterone. This can happen during peri. Perhaps you should ask your doctor about progesterone- only hormone replacement to balance your hormones out . I believe iy can be really effective

Which patch were you on? I'm trying to figure out if climaraPro is causing me to have dizzy or lightheaded feelings. Anyone experience this on the patch? Gyny is wanting me to put an estrogen patch only on because I bleed on the climara pro.

hello,
i was put on climara last july, but it kept falling off , so my doc swithched me ti vivelle. i had no anxiety from it, but the longer i wore it the foggier and fatter and more depressed i got. no one bothered to check my thyroid which was getting worse by the month, ( estrogen dominance can make thyroid worse ), so i went to different docs who lowered my dose, and i have finally gotten myself off of it. i also didn't take progestrone like i should have. hope you find something that works. i'm sure if i had been given a balance of everything my vivelle story would have been different. god bless

Well, the patch isn't the only way to supplement estrogen, there are others. Why not try those? It just so happened that the low dose patch keeps the hot flashes at bay for me, but if it doesn't work for you then try a different therapy. I know it's difficult, I had a few weeks of utter insanity after my surgery before I went to the doctor and asked for replacement therapy. I'm still not completely satisfied but it will keep me going until I get a chance to get the saliva testing done etc.
Hang in there, Big Hugs,

Has anyone been on femhrt? If so I would love to know what your experience with it has been? I just started taking it to help deal with mood swings/depression and so far I just feel angry and negitive?
