I get the regular run of the mill hot flashes where my face heats up and then I get these...... first I get real anxious which is an idicator that its coming then I get these surges that are more of a chill than a heat and then I get dizzy the dizziness last a few seconds and then subsides then it starts all over again and this keeps happening for 15-30 minutes. Then all of the sudden its done and then I get the chills. I have to take Xanax at the on set to calm myself down. All the while this is happening my heart rate speeds way up.

I have been keeping track and my cycle is like every 27-28 day's. then I start with the hot flashes,sore breast ect..... I had a hysterectomy 5 and have just 1 ovary. Im going to 45 in July.

Yep having one right now, will know when it passes when I start shivering! I no longer get anxiety> old ball game for me!

I'm the same way when I stat to shiver I know it's over.

I've noticed that when I get those bone chills it's usually around the time my period is "suppose" to start. Sometimes I get those chills for a couple of days, but no period. Thank God that the hot flashes are under control with the use of progesterone; the occasionally night sweats are still with me, but even that has improved.

Yes,I get those sudden heat flashes right before my period most of my heat flashes come during my PMS...Awww....a women`s a body...it`s a beautiful thing....

I get those too. First I get this very "aware" feeling - almost like a pop. I thought it might be an adreneline rush. Then I get the rapid heartbeat and then the heat wave starts. After that the chill comes and I know that it is over.

I get something like this in the middle of the night. I wake up with my heart beating fast, and feel anxious like I know "it's" coming. I then feel hot all over, my stomach feels weird, I have to sit up and turn on the light (my husband hates this), and I make him get me a cold washcloth for my face. Usually it lasts about 5 minutes, but the few times it lasted longer I got panicky and wanted to call the paramedics, although I never did. It's not a good feeling, very unpleasant and a really scary way to wake up in the middle of the night. I also feel like - this may sound weird - like I'm "buzzing" on the inside. Then it's like everything calms back down and I feel cold. I started getting these when I was 44-45, and I had them several times a week. Now at 50 I have them rarely - thank goodness!

hi yall... now i know i am peri... i get the sick... weak feeling with fast heart beat then a weird tingly numb almost goosebump thing starts in my head and runs down my arms.. i try and shake it off and then my face gets hot and it feels like swaet on my upper lip but none is there. i have had it happen to where it happens only once then it happen aboout 6-7n times in a row.... i used to freak... but now i hust sit through it... i get really dizzy like too.... then i usually have to pee and freeze after wards... so odd....... see yas denise
