Hi again everyone! I am wondering if anyone else notices that they are ovulating at weird times in their cycles - if you can call them cycles

. I missed a period and then had a light one starting Jan. 31 - then my doc scheduled me for some tests to rule out any problems. Transvag and pelvic ultrasounds were fine and I was waiting to test hormones until third day of my period. Of course - on day 32 of this cycle I was scheduled for my pap - and I told doc it felt like I was ovulating. Sure enough - she told me I was! Is this a common experience in peri - ovulating all over the place? Thanks for any feedback you might have!

I definitely notice this. Sometimes I'm ovulating immediately after my period, then lately, more often than not it seems I'm not ovulating at all. I'm 39. My cycles used to run like clockwork!

Same for me, my last period was on day 47 ( late, ussally day 26)... yesterday I wake up with a pain in my right side and I'm thinking what the heck and then it hit me ovulating pain. How easy I have forgotten> since painful ovulation has always been a problem for me... But I haven't ovulated much in the last year or at least not had the pain... So to get back about yesterday> I started cleaning the house just like the good old days, but later in the afternoon I was so wipe out I had to take a nap... Today foggy thinking and I feel so tired> I don't know what going on anymore!

Hi rsgreen! Well - I always recognize the certain kind of twinging, cramping pain when I ovulate that seems to have gotten worse over the past few years. As I was getting my pap - the doc said she could tell by the cervical mucous.

Your vaginal (cervical) secretions change around ovulation time. If you check the tissue after wiping yourself you may notice a clear mucus that if you touched it between two fingers or with another side of the tissue and pulled the two surfaces apart it would cling to both sides and be very stretchy. That sign usually occurs a few days before ovulation and goes away within a day or so once ovulation has occured.

I too notice ovulatin is getting strange. I have been ovulating a lot right after my period and then I will get my period 2 weeks later. When I don't feel myself ovulate, then I know I willl be late. One time it was 46 days compared to my usual 20 or so days between periods. It is odd but just one of those things.

I feel a twinge for about three days in my right side when I ovulate.. I have for years. Lately I don't feel it every month either. Either I am not ovulating or just not feeling it. My last two periods were surprisingly "normal".

I used to get such severe side pain, I had a hard time walking, sitting or going to the bathroom and it would come on about 1 wk from where my period would stop and last about 2 days. Over the last yr. I have noticed this pain is very mild and barely there anymore and when I do get it it is directly after I stop my period and will seem to last 2-5 days. Like if I stop my period today I will start feeling twinges tomorrow not matter whether my period is 5 days or 12 it is the same for the past few mo. mikki
