I thought Revival Soy was the greatest thing- It took the hot flashes away INSTANTLY, and I was banking on the promise of weight loss too. About the 5th day, I developed horribly itchy skin, and red bumps-on my inner arms that would burst and scar. The itching went from my head to my feet, and felt like I was on fire. I contacted Revival, and they said although rare, it could be an allergic reaction. I've eaten a lot of soy in the past, and never had a reaction. I stopped taking the Revival, and it took about 6 months for the itching, bumps and scarring to stop. Now when I try a Revival bar, after a few hours I have that burning-itchy feeling starting again. Has this happened to anyone else?

Lyn, I got that itching from perimenopause - it's one of the 34 symptoms. There are several posts on this symptom on the Skin board.

Best of luck to you!

Lynbunny,

Did you get itching INside your body? I felt itching in my chest cavity around my heart, and in throat.
Had just had my 1st 1/2 Revival bar. So I stopped for a day, and took another bar. About to take a third, but itching is back. Hmmmm..

Could also be airborne allergies in my case...people around me are c omplaining about pollen.

Sorry you had such a bad time with your skin.

I had 2 bad rashes this past year also...totally out of the blue, and they took a long time to go away.
By the way, i'm a Lynn too.

Welcome aboard.

I am really upset, as I have had food intolerance test results today, as when using Revival Soy earlier this year I developed awful hives and rashes for 7 weeks so left it off, my blood is showing anti bodies to Soy, so my hopes of going back on it are gone and it helped so much. I have read in Ann Louise Gittermans book Before the Change that you can get Soy isoflavone supplements if you are allergic to the actual food, does anyone know about these I am in UK and her book has all Americam sources in, I am willing to pay shipping to get it as it helped so much, does anyone use the isoflavones instead of actual Soya, any help would be appreciated, as I was depending on the Soya to help.
