I finally found a dr. that is great for menopausal women. He does the salivary testing and found I have elevated levels of testosterone and DHEA. Checked out physical causes and ovaries and adrenals are ok. I don't have symptoms of too much testosterone so he said "see you next year" don't worry unless sypmtoms develop. Said my body could be converting the extra testosterone to estrogen that it needs because of menopause. I am confused because I would have guessed I had a low level, sagging libido, thinning hair, etc. So just wanted to urge people to get salivary testing done if you haven't before taking extra testosterone. That is the best way to find out where you are with your individual hormone levels. No dr. before this one ever suggested this and just kept pushing HRT on me.
