Hi Ladies,

Anyone watch the Golden Globe awards last night (1/16/06)?

I was watching along, kinda bored, when a woman named S. Epatha Merkerson
won an award for Best actress in a miniseries or movie. She evidently was in a tv movie on HBO called "Lacakawanna Blues"

Well, this happy lady got up. and this is what she said basically,

"Well, this is really amazing. I'm 53 years old and this is the first time I've had a lead in a movie." (Applause)

"I feel like a 16 year old, except that I' M HAVING A HOT FLASH RIGHT NOW."

She talked a little more and said, "Yes, I'm having a MAJOR HOT FLASH RIGHT NOW...."

My husband and I just looked at each other and laughed. He said, "You better tell your friends" (He knows me so well, and how i've found support from all of you.)

So, here's to women with hot flashes, movie stars and the rest of us BRAVO!

It's so awesome that she did this!

We need more famous meno-mamas to help further the "cause," LOL.
