I purchased a bottle of DHEA the other day at a vitamin store. When I checked out, the lady told me that they card for this product. Obviously, she didn't need to card me (I'm 53) but it made me wonder "What is DHEA, why would they card for it?" I bought it because of low libido. This is the second day I've been taking it and so far I feel no side effects. After I read some of the postings (about feeling jittery, caffeine rush, etc.) I would like some more info if anyone has any. Also, how long before you start feeling the effects of it (sexual desire again)? Thanks for any help.

Hi there Jamesetta!Click on the top right corner of this or any page for a wealth of information - Recommendations, ask the experts, transcripts, etc. Also read the posts on DHEA where others have shared their experiences with this as well as every other conceivable hormone treatment available. Also - Type in DHEA in any search site any you will find everything you ever wanted to know about this and more. Have fun. :)

Your DHEA level can be tested. Personally, I
wouldn't supplement unless my level was shown to
be low. DHEA is a hormone. You may want to
check your testosterone levels, as well. As
someone said earlier, explore this sight!
It's both supportive and informative.

Can you tell a curious English person what 'carded' means??

Beth, it means that they check the driver's license or other ID to be sure that the person is of legal age to do whatever. Usually that's used for buying alcohol, cigarettes, and some drugs.
