Hi everyone:

I did not see the forum for the Board about nothing so I am going ot have to post this here. Sorry if it causes confusion.

I am making fudge today for Christmas and was wondering how everyone else makes fudge. I have this older recipe that you cook the candy on the stove and eveyrone seems to like it. Here is the recipe if anyone is interested.

2 baking squares baking chocolate
1 small can evaporated milk

2 cups sugar
1/2 tsp. karo syrup

2 tablespoons butter.

Melt the baking squares and can of milk on top of stove until chocolate is melted. Stire in sugar, karo syrup stir well and put back on stove with candy thermometer. Turn on medium to low heat until candy thermometer reads soft ball. Take off stove and drop in 2 tablespoons butter. Let cool 20 - 30 minutes and then stir until not glossy. Drop on wax paper once the fudge gets stiff.

With this recipe, it is no guarentee the batter gets stiff but it is very good. I just wish I could find some chocolate that was just coco and had absolutley no sugar in it. I think these companies are adding less coco to their chocolate.

Anyway, has anyone else got some fun recipes out there?
