This is a symptom that has just been happening for the last month....if I let myself get too hungry I feel shaky...my arms will shake mostly....as soon as I eat something it settles down. It sounds like a low blood sugar problem, but the last time Ihad a fasting blood sugar test done at the dr. in late Oct. my blood sugar was totally normal...so, any ideas on what could be going on?

HI Tina
Sounds like hypoglycemic attack. If you continue to not eat 3 meals a day ...it can turn into hypoglycemia. Try to eat small meals throughout the day..that will keep the blood sugar regulated. Try this and if its still happening...then I would get another test.

Yep, low blood sugar. It happens to me all the time. I've been tested several times and I come up "borderline hypoglycemic."

Peanut butter helps when I'm in the midst of feeling that way. AA is right, several small meals helps a lot. Don't let yourself get too hungry.

I get this all the time if I don't eat regularly. I can even tell when I'm at the point that I need to eat or else....... My husband now knows that if we are out and I say I need to eat, it means now and not sometime in the next couple of hours! So I usually eat 5-6 smaller meals/snacks each day and that seems to take care of it.

I am also a "need to eat NOW" person if I get too hungry! I always eat 3 meals a day and usually an afternoon snack too. I think I am what they call a "fast burner." Hubby is a "slow burner" and doesn't get as hungry as quickly as I do.

It's hard when we visit my in-laws, because they are "slow burners." They sometimes just eat sandwiches for dinner. And sometimes they don' t eat dinner until 7:00 or later. I need to eat by 6:30 or else! So I always bring snacks with me when we visit them. Sometimes my MIL says things like, "Oh, you probably aren't hungry for dinner since we had a big lunch..." Yeah, right! Once I had some mac n cheese at 6:00 to hold me over for a 9:00 dinner. She was like, "Now, you're not going to want to eat much if you're having that now..." I have to just laugh off her comments, cuz otherwise it would make me crazy!
