Okay, things I've done lately to make me question my sanity.

* Got to the grocery store, went to get out of the car, and realized I had two different shoes on....I mean two COMPLETELY DIFFERENT shoes on.

* Speaking of grocery stores, recently bought over a hundred dollars of groceries walked away without taking my cart of groceries. Cashier came barreling out the door as I was half way across the parking lot. I'm thinking "WTH, this guy has lost his mind rolleyes.gif ....

* Got half way to church and realized I still had my slippers on.

* Put my cordless phone in my pocket book and "hung" my cellphone up in the house phone charger.

* I have two dogs that I sometimes take out seperately. I took one out and came up to get the second dog....went back out and realized I still had the same DANG dog!!!!!

* My latest "special" moment. I opened my refrigerator and there sat, neatly stacked, eight cans of campbells soup.

So......how many of you think I should really be out and about without a chaperone?

Lawdy..hehehe You should go check out the topic..."You know you got it bad when".... you will be able to find some great chuckles and also some sanity in being able to identify with all that has posted in there! laugh.gif

Lawdy: Oh my god---I did the same exact thing with the groceries. Got the big cart of 'em out in the parking lot, and just drove away without putting them in my trunk. When I went back they were gone!

Well, I can top that. Went to grocery store twice and forgot wallet in cart after unloading groceries!

EEKS!

Too Funny!

I constantly rush off to do something important, but when I get there, can't remember what it was, have to go back to the beginning, retrace my steps and hope to figure out what it was!

Lose my purse, my car keys, my shoes, my coat and my mind daily.

Blame the kids for losing remotes, cell phones, etc, only to find them somewhere only I could have put them.

Try to make a sandwich with a spoon, when I meant to grab a knife.

Call my daughter by my sister's name, they're not even similar! Pick a random word, like garage and use if for pantry, forget what you call the leaf in the table, and so on...

Can't remember anyone's names in public. Play in a couple's card group, struggle with the names of the people and the cards - shovels, puppytoes, can't find the real words, let alone remember what's trump, or what's been played.

Save the BoxTops for Education for kids school. Lately, I can't stop putting them in the refrigerator, instead of the shelf.

But my best yet - my Very Special Moment - absent mindedly grabbing the Preparation H instead of the toothpaste, brushing away, while my brain slowly registered the oily, greasy, unpleasant, slightly numbing sensation on my teeth and gums. Blech, Ugh, Yuck, Yick!

Only you ladies, my husband and kids know about this one!

Without my sense of humor, I would have cracked by now. Keep laughing!

I have to add that I've:

Forgotten to collect the kids from school, only to be called by the school wondering where I was...

Driven to the school to collect the kids - then walked home and not noticed the car wasn't there till i needed to go out 3 hours later - then wondered where it was...

Rung people up and then the minute they answered forgot why i rang...

Booked theatre tickets for the wrong date completely after waiting 25 mins in the phone queue...

Forgotten all the other things I was going to add to this list! huh.gif

I'm lucky. I am not now, nor ever have been a morning person. I can remember my roommate-in-university's boyfriend frunching about in the kitchen, then calling to K, asking where we kept the coffee pot. K said it should be on the counter by the cannisters or some such thing. BF said it isn't. K said "Oh, Look in the fridge. Suze usually sticks it in there", and it was, and yes, it was electric.

So fast forward 30 years, and its more difficult for the casual observer to determine whether today's more screwball actions are an extention of the above, or that newer form of lunacy we lovingly call peri.

Like a couple of weeks ago, I let 6 horses into the top paddock because its the only one not under water. The house is in this strip. A hour later, I took the rubbish up to the bins, which are just outside the gates to the street. I thought to myself, DH ought to be home any minute, I'll leave the gate open for him so he doesn't have to get out of the car twice. And yes, I petted the horses as I walked through the gate up to the house, and yes, 5 minutes later the neighbours were ringing to ask if I knew there was a string of horses headed up the road....

Hi everyone

Duch I too have never been a morning person but I used to be able to juggle the morning routine. You know unload the washing machine, whilst eating a peice of toast, and reminding my hubby that he needs to pick our daughter up at a certain time later in the day, and so and so has an appointment etc etc.

Unfortunately these days when I'm getting ready I pick up the deodorant and point at my underarm only to realise it is hairspray amd likewise on more than one occassion have picked up the deodorant to spray at my head!!!!!!

But I must balance this. We asked someone to come to the house to give us a quote for some work and he turned up a little late. He was really apologetic and explained that he would have called en route to let us know he was held up but for the fact that the mobile phone he had put in the car was in fact the TV remote!!!!!
