Hi everyone!
I dont think I fit into the category of having night sweats...and hot flashes...at least I dont break out in a sweat. I do get ....nauseas..extremely warm from my chest upward..my arms...my face gets slightly red..and I have a low grade fever.
At first I thought I could have an infection..but the fever just comes and goes and is low...like 37.1 or less. I believe it to be a menopausal symptom...due to my periods being erratic over the past several months...I miss one ....have two the next month..have spotting in between...lots of craziness.
So..my question is ....please..if anyone else gets like this...would you mind telling me your story....so that I can try and find some comfort in all of this...~smiles` Thanks...Debbie

Hey Minniedee
Sounds to me like you're having hot flashes only not bad ones! I started out that way. I don't get nauseous and I've never taken my temp, but the warmth creeps up my body into my neck and face. I used to call them warm flushes, now they are HOT flashes
And my periods sound just like yours!!

Thanks so much Tots for your reply....I so much appreciate hearing that someone else out there has or has had a similar experience. I wonder now what is to come....Im 47...started this sometime last year...could be quite a little journey. Knowledge is power...so thank you once again .

I took my temp today during a hot flash and it was 97.7

(normal is 98.6 for those of you using celsius). What the heck is that about?!?! I am sweating and everything and no temp!?!?!
hmmm maybe I shouldn't be upset

Hi there Kurly....I have checked my temperature and at times it is lower than normal....and then another time....it can be a low grade fever....and that is why Im really perplexed. I have read before that your temperature can actually lower during a hot flash...so I thought..ok that is normal...but what about these low grade fevers? Weird, I say.

I get low-grade fevers, too. Last week I had one and my temp was as low as 95.6! I didn't associate it with meno though. Hmmm........

I have them often enough to actually wonder...am I coming down with something...as Im nauseaus at times....and really warm....just feeling like I need my bed.....and then...possibly a few hours later..or the next morning..I feel ok again. I find it would be difficult to know...do I have a virus...or is this part of the perimeno stuff?
Confuses the heck out of me!

Mimi...it could be either or, actually
when you state you need you bed, because of the nausea or tired?

thanks for your reply Demomma....when I need my bed it is because of bloating, nausea and headache and exhaustion...they all seem to go together at times. This is why it is difficult to sort out I think...there are so many symptoms....I generally think Im sick..but I cant be sick that often..which leads me to belive its what Im going to go through off and on due to peri. Any ideas?
