Hi all!

This board had been such an amazing help. I'm hoping it can be again one more time. smile.gif

I know that during peri the hormones are on a crazy rollercoaster ride. Could that explain and do other go through the symptoms changing every day. It seems like every day its a different thing. Example: Monday I had chest pain. I know my heart is fine since my doc had done a full cardiac workup earlier that morning. Yesterday not a chest pain in site the whole day. Now today its back, yoohoo!!, lol. The same thing happens with so many of the strange things my body has been doing the last 4 months. Some days it seems to change hour to hour. Then I will go for 1 to 2 weeks where I actually feel good. Then someone hits the button and the ride starts all over again. I had the FSH test and it came back normal so of course I'm not in peri and besides I'm to young (38), LOL. I really wish docs would come and look at this board! I'm thinking about keeping a journal of the symptoms to see if I can figure out some sort of pattern. But I'm not sure its good to pay that much attention to it all. I have been of the mind set that as long as I know its nothing that will kill me I can learn to live with this. Some days I would just love to have the test that says YES you are in peri and stop worrying about "if".

Hi Bonnie,

My symptoms change daily as well. It completely amazes me. But keeping a journal is really not a bad idea. You may see that even though there isn't a "pattern" with the type of symptoms you are having, there may be a pattern as to when during the month the symptoms are hitting. You mentioned that you for two weeks at a time you may feel pretty good. By keeping a journal it may show that there is consistently a couple of weeks each month that you do feel good and could indicate that your symptoms are definitely related to the monthly cycle.

I too wish there was a test that says "Yes" you are in peri - you know kind of like the home pregnancy tests when the two little lines appear to say "Yes you are pregnant."

I was just talking to my mother yesterday when she was asking how I was feeling. She said, "I wish you could be like I was and your grandmother was - one month I had a period and the next month I didn't. And I never had another one." I wished I could be so lucky. Not so.

You can take a home FSH test, which is kinda like a pregnancy test. I did one a while back. I think it was Estroven brand. You take it twice at different times during your cycle. Mine showed that FSH was normal. But that doesn't mean I'm not in peri. (I am 39, and doc says I'm too young, LOL!)

I do write down my symptoms, and I have seen a pattern to them. Usually the week before my period is when they hit hardest. It kinda helps me plan things like social activities. I can avoid planning things during certain weeks when I'm likely to not feel well.
