Hi ladies,

I didn't see this as a topic , but I have heard of it as a hormone related symptom. I am not sure what you would call this feeling...it only last a few sec. usually. I could be just sitting and talking wiht someone and all of a sudden I get this 3 sec shot of vertigo and literally feel like I lean or something wiht it cause it throws me of so much and it is gone. I sometimes close my eyes and hold my head to make it go away( not sure if this helps huh.gif ) It is not like dizziness like we feel when we spin or something, but really fast lost of balance and I'm becoming afraid i I may pass out one of these times. I haven't checked wiht the DR. yet I'm not sure he takes me seriously anyway. Anyone else get this odd feeling cause I'm starting to wonder if it isn't something more. Thanks Mikki

I used to get that frequently. While I do have an inner ear disorder that can cause vertigo, this was different. I'd be washing dishes or something and suddenly feel as though I were "leaping" forward and then sort of going down, like a faint, if that makes any sense at all. It only lasted a couple of seconds each time.

I've heard many women talk about this--everyone has their own version of it, though, so yours may not match mine.

I think even doctors don't seem to realize how hormones affect our ENTIRE bodies (and minds!). I would always get something I thought was serious checked out, but I don't put anything past menopause!
