Hi everyone,

I'm writing this for my girlfriend...we are pretty sure we are experiencing various symptoms of peri (we are 47 and 46 respectively) but lately she's had the weirdest thing happen. Her feet sweat profusely at various times during the day. She can be in an air conditioned environment, or have a normal temp everywhere else on her body but her feet will just start to sweat.

They sweat so much and get so hot she can't even stand to have flip-flops on.

Anyone else have a similar experience? We are guessing those dastardly hormones have something to do with it, but it would be nice to know someone else has had something like this happen to them too.

Hi Riv, I get the 'hot' feet. Sometimes they will sweat and sometimes they don't. If I walk on the 'tar in the driveway' barefooted, I will see 'foot prints' where I've walked from my feet! So they MUST be sweating! I have a girlfriend who said her VERY WORST symptom of menopause was her feet always being wet with sweat! Must be connected I'd say!

Thanks, I'll pass the info along. She said her husband thinks she's crazy complaining about sweaty feet when the rest of her body is cool, so she'll be glad to know someone else has had similar experience!

My feet get VERY hot but don't sweat. At night I'll be completely comfortable, AC going, fan blowing but my feet are so hot I have to get them out from under the covers. It's weird.

... forgot to add ... my mom said her's did that too around peri time.

I didn't even realize a persons feet could sweat until i entered peri.......mine sweat all the time and it's the most uncomfortable,irritating thing when you have to wear shoes all the time.....it's not like i can go to stores,doctors etc. barefoot.

I have never experienced sweating feet before but we were at a wedding on the weekend and the weather here is very hot and humid right now. When I got home and into bed my feet were not only hot but swollen and I was saying how the water was just leaking out of my swollen feet. It is a weird feeling to have sweaty feet. Actually I have never been one to sweat my whole life until recently. Sometimes I am still in awe of how fast I can break a sweat not even moving.

I can realate to that Barb..I have never been one to sweat either...I never use to sweat, was always cold natured...but now when I go outside for even just a few minutes I start sweating....I hate that!
