Jimi,

Me too. I have a few on my arms and a few on my face and neck area. My Mom has quite a few.

It's funny, I live in sunny Florida and I have never been this light (I tan so very easily) in my life. It's just so hot here that I run from the car to the house or to my building at work. My left arm is tan (my driving arm) !! Perhaps I should get out and get just a bit of sun. ??

Take care,

Tina

I started with these about 4 months ago and noticed they were darker when I returned from a Florida vacation. Went to my dermatologists who said they are called age spots but are really d/t sun exposure. He prescribed a skin bleacher and said to wear sun block every day, even if the sun isn't out. The bleaching cream is working and they are fading.

I've always been freckled, so it's hard tofind these spots, but I do have a couple on my legs.
What I find more worrisome is the skin on my hands is getting thinner. Well, it just seems to be sometimes that it goes through this phase. But it looks more translucent and holds a wrinkle if I pinch it.
This will happen for a few days, then seem to go away. Just on the backs of my hands. Reminds me of my Nana"s hands. Not painful or anything. Just disconcerting! ohmy.gif

I, too, am getting these age spots. First noticed one on my hand a few years ago. Now I have several on each hand. I've had so many bad sunburns in my life that I wouldn't be surprised if I had trouble with skin cancer down the road.

I also have noticed the skin on my hands appearing really thin. The veins stick out and I can pinch up a bit and it looks sort of leathery too. Sigh...Some of it may be not drinking enough water (that is a test of being dehydrated--pinching up your hand skin and watching how quickly it goes back down), so keep drinking that good old H2O.

Anyone have any ideas on what to do with my awful splitting fingernails?
