Jenny JJJ
HI,

I had my hormones checked and my testosterone was a little high. I looked at the recommended supplements to take and found that DHEA is good for adrenal fatigue which my Chiropractor says I have.

So when I went to the store to get the DHEA, the lady told me that DHEA is a precurser to testosterone and if mine is high, I shouldn't take it?

Does anyone have any info on this? Have you ever heard that DHEA causes cancer?

I am trying to learn as much as I can but I read one thing and it says soemthing is good and then I read something else and it says that it is bad sad.gif UGH!

I appreciate any info anyone has on DHEA and Testosterone.

From what little I've read and been told by doctors, I think I would be very careful with that DHEA. Google and find out about the risks, as there are risks with this hormone. According to one website with a fairly well-known physician, DHEA can really cause problems and throw everything else out of whack. I would use caution and small doses if you go the DHEA route.

I'm sure other's have had fine experiences with this hormone but just reading a few of the bad stories kept me from playing games with DHEA and I know my hormones are half of what they should be for a woman my age. I had them tested and even my "out there" doctor wasn't in a rush to put me on the DHEA. He thought we should look further to see why my hormones weren't where they should be, like my liver and a few other organs, etc.

Just my cautious two cents.
