Hi all - just checking in with a symptom that I am getting stressed about.

I have tingling or twitching (its hard to figure out which it is?) in the verrrry tips of my fingers on my left hand. Its either in my thumb, finger, or middle finger, sometimes one or two of them. Its not the whole hand or whole finger, but just the very tippy tip. It feels like someone has a small thread sewn into the tip of my finger and is pulling it.

It comes and goes. Could it be carpal tunnel? (I suspect I may have a touch of CT) or anxiety? Or hormones? Its not disruptive, physically, I mean, it doesn't prevent me from living. Its just annoying to constantly wonder, what is this?? Is it harmless? Ya know what I mean?

So, anyone else get this?

Also, on the topic of tingling, sometimes my RIGHT leg, from the knee down, will tingle. The whole leg. This tip of my finger thing in my left hand freaks me out.

I want to add that this tingling comes and goes. It isn't constant. Thanks...

Hi Heartpeace,

I had the tingling in my arm and leg. The arm went away first, then the leg. But I find that it does come and go, especially in the leg. Mine is also from the knee down, all the way into the foot.

Haven't had the thing in my fingers, but have had a weird twitching in the muscle below my thumb! Like near the palm of my hand, but the part that controls the palm. Very weird, don't know what causes it but it just stops and then comes on at any random time. Haven't had it in a while. Weird stuff!

Do you notice that your symptoms disappear or lesson when you have your period? Just wondering.

Try not to worry about the fingers, i'm sure it's nothing! smile.gif

Yup, get those base-of-the-thumb twitchies every now and then too. Very annoying. Usually find that popping an extra B-complex & magnesium will quiet them down.

JBW - I am currently looking for a pattern with my cycle. This last week has been horrendous for me with anxiety and my mile long list of symptoms. Interesting, as it is indeed the week before my cycle. My period is due tomorrow. My last period, I pretty much felt like crap during the whole period, and it was the week AFTER that I felt better. I'll let ya know how it goes this time. It will be interesting if its the same way this month.

I will try the B complex. I have a whole bottle of B50 in my cupboard, but had stopped taking it thinking it was *causing* symptoms. I'll start that back up this weekend.

JBW - meant to ask, do you have any pain in the leg that tingles? My calf and hip both feel crampy on and off, on the leg that tingles. Also, does your tingling come out of nowhere, or does something trigger?

Heartpeace,
My tingling leg doesn't "hurt" but it sometimes feels "heavy", like right now I swept my whole house (lots of tile) and my thigh muscle was kind of starting to ache and I feel a very very slight tingle in my foot and maybe my knee. Don't know if the sweeping caused it or what. Very strange.

I got my period either on Wed or would you say Monday if that's when spotting started? I don't even know when to say it started b/c this spotting stuff throws me off! I've felt much better this week so I'm going to pay attention to how I feel after all this. Hopefully it'll just go away.

Hope you have a better week!

JPW - It sounds like you and I get a very similar sensation. My "heaviness" (creepy feeling, as I've told you) can start in my arm or leg, then the other follows. Sometimes, when its really bad, I swear the right side of my groin feels this way, too, and sometimes even my face. Even though, I think my facial wierdness may have something to do with my deviated septum and sinuses not draining properly.

Keep in touch - I'll keep posting throughout my period to "record" symptoms and progress. smile.gif
