Glad you stumbled across the site. I'm sure there'll be plenty of women who will join me in picking you up
Your sub-title when creating this topic was What's up with me? Well, what's up with you, wholenew, is perimenopause. Welcome to the club!
What many women don't realize when they embark upon hormone replacement therapy is that HRT doesn't cause a woman to bypass menopause, but, rather, it postpones it. So, if a woman has been on any form of HRT or ERT (estrogen replacement therapy without the progesterone) or, in your case, even progesterone therapy -- therapy being taking it on a regular basis -- once you stopped the medication, your body reverted back to it's natural course of menstrual problems and, obviously, you're going through perimenopause now.
Let's say a woman has been taking hormones for 1, 2-3, even 5-10 years and decides she wants to discontinue HRT, it is likely that she can expect to go through the natural changes in her cycle that one might expect at the beginning of the perimenopause transition. This can, of course, include hot flashes, night sweats, depression, anxiety, insomnia, shorter cycles, longer cycles, no cycles, lighter periods, heavier periods, bleeding in between, pre- or postmenstrual spotting, and mood swings, headaches and the whole roster of symptoms associated with perimenopause.
And, of course, there are various remedies for treating your symptoms, among them NHRT (naturally compounded hormones, soy, herbs, vitamins). Many of these remedies aren't covered by insurance and if you find one good remedy for treating your problems, it shouldn't be too expensive to replenish that product once a month in order that you'll feel better.
Why don't you have a look at the site's recommendation page to get an idea of what's available to treat your symptoms.
Good luck!
