I am 41. For the last two months my periods have only been 1 day long if that. One half day is more like it. It is great but not normal for me who always has a five day period. Could this be the start of menopause or is something wrong?

Could very well be the beginning of peri-meno. Are you having any other symptons. If your concerned just mention it to your doctor. Welcome to PS!!

My periods are down to about 1 day of heavyish bleeding (not too bad), then a day of very light and almost a day of spotting. I used to have 5 day periods. This has been going on for over a year. I've had everything checked out and it must be because of peri. If I were you, I'd check with your Dr, just to rule any other things out.
