I'm new to power-surge.com. My husband told someone about my problem and they suggested that I go on to this website that my problem is probably the start of menopause?
I am 46 years old and about a year ago, I experienced severe pain that started in one foot, then when to my knee and then over to my other foot. The pain was so severe that I really wasn't able to walk for over two months without someone helping me around. Also my legs would ad times fill up with fluid from the knees down.
To try to make a long story short, I had 3 trips to the emergency room, spent several days in the hospital on 2 different occasions, went through countless medical tests and exams, saw 3 different specialists and no one came up with a diagnosis!
They seem to think that it is some type of artritis, however the tests for arthitis came up negative. I was to podiatrist, cardiac specialist and an arthritis specialist and no one has come up with an answer.
I was given numerous types of pain pills (strong ones) and none of them helped.
What finally eased things for me was prednisone and an anti-inflammatory medication. I didn't want to be on the prednisone too long so I got off of that as soon as possible but am still taking the anti-inflammatory medication. I also have to take a diuretic to get rid of fluid in my legs at times.
It is really puzzling to me and everyone else that I talk to about it? If anyone else has experienced similar problems or should have any info for me I would certainly appreciate it!
