If you have tried any of these, I'd like your opinion on effectiveness:

Evening Primrose oil
Dong Quai (Angelica)
Black Cohosh
Chasteberry
Ginkgo Biloba
Burdock Root
Damiana
Kelp
Alfalfa
Blessed Thistle

Thanks!

I've tried Evening Primrose Oil, Dong Quai, Black Cohosh, Gingko, and also Red Clover, which isn't on your list, but is used for perimenopausal symptoms.

I can't say I saw huge benefits from any of them, unfortunately. But others have said they are helped by one or another, or a combo.

While feeling this way, heck, ANYTHING's worth a try.

good luck!

Yeah! I think I'll have a Mojito--or maybe a frozen Margarita...

Yeah, short of animal or human sacrifices, I'm willing to try just about anything.

Anyone ever tried Flash-Ease? It contains a time-released dose of black cohosh and dong quai. Evidently reduces the risk of headache and dizziness associated with these herbs.

I've never heard of that, but heck, it can't hurt!

If we're going to try human sacrifices, I say let's start with the doctors who tell women their perimenopausal symptoms are "all in their heads."

Jolie - I have quite a few tree branches and limbs that came down in my yard this winter, so I'll bring the wood!

I've been taking evening primrose oil for the past two years and found that it alleviated the problems with incredibly aching breasts that I got around the time of ovulation and up to my period. Now all of that has changed and I no longer have aching breasts (I would actually prefer to have those back, please) laugh.gif However, I'm still taking the primrose oil in the hope that it helps something. One of my problems this year has been bouts of dryness and I've heard that Omega 7 helps with that, so I've just starting taking a product with it. I'm also taking flax seed oil which has the other Omegas - anything for lubrication!

Has anyone had any experience of products containing Omega 7?

Does anyone know of any other alternative med that helps dryness (mouth, skin, vagina)?
