has anyone tried any herbs for menopause systoms??? moodiness and vaginal dryness. really interested in this. let me know.

Black cohosh has been being used for menopausal symptoms forever.... There was a formula in the 1800's called Aunt Lydia Pinkham's, LOL. These days it's available in all sorts of supplements.

Red clover was used by the Native Americans. These supplements can be found at health-food stores, or as Promensil in supermarkets (probably some other brands too, but that's the only one coming to mind).

Don't forget soy! Not an herb, but it's thought to have estrogenic properties in women. Some women have been helped by Revival Soy products. There's a link in this website - you can do a search.

I recently tried Femarelle, an over-the-counter soy supplement made from Tofu. If you go to the natural hormone replacement forum you will find a thread. I researched the stuff before trying it, and because I am a scientist I read the journal articles. It is supposed to increase bone density without stimulating breast or uterine tissue. I took this stuff for 30 days. I noticed that it really helped with vaginal dryness. I was delighted with this since I have had this problem for a while. You might want to look it up on the internet and read the thread in the other forum. I tried Femarelle because I was stopping the Menostar patch (it made me dizzy) and wanted to avoid getting hot flashes again. It really helped with the hot flashes as well. I had no luck with other soy supplements. I tried a few, but my digestive system does not handle soy very well and I don't like the taste. Femarelle is a capsule. I had no problems with digesting the stuff and I really think it works.
