It's been a while since I've posted. Things are looking up, a lot of the nasty peri symptoms have gone away.
I haven't had a period since August 31, 2004 and my last blood tests showed that I am post menopausal, not ovulating at all.
BUT.
Each month that has gone by since December, the hot flashes and the night sweats have gotten worse. They wake me up at night and so I'm never getting a decent night's sleep. I also sleep "clenched" so my muscles ache in the mornings.
After ovulation stops, how long do the hot flashes/night sweats go on for? Is it "normal" for them to be more noticeable now that the periods have stopped?
I'm taking a multi vitamin plus a calcium/magnesium/vitamin D supplement. Should I add Estroven to that, or just Black Cohosh? I'm not taking HRT.
