I am getting dull pelvic pain before and after my periods.  When I am on my period, it goes away and so does my low back pain.  But as soon as its over, it all comes back.  Does anyone else have this?

Hi, Lisa, I also get dull pelvic pain before my period, but mine also persists during it as well.  Then it goes away until I'm about ready to start again.  I think it's pretty common to have it premenstrually but it's interesting that yours comes back so soon.  Have you tried taking a low dose of ibuprofen when you have it?  It sounds like you may have some chronic inflammation and during your period when your hormones are low, it might ease a little, then come back as your hormones start rising again.  Ibuprofen has been known to help with chronic inflammation as well as pelvic pain.   Just a thought smile.gif

its possble you have fibords, using progestron cream really helps, I use from 8 to 26 takes about 4 months for full affect.

I just had to jump in on this!  I'm 48 years old and have experienced (am experiencing) dull pelvic pain, along with minor low back pain most of the time.  I also have 3 fibroids, which can flare up from time to time.  Usually my pain subsides the days of my period, only to come back a week after I'm done!  My gyn has prescribed an anti-inflammatory to take as needed.  It seems to help greatly.  She suggests that I 'hang in there' 'til I've completely gone through the change.  Perhaps you should make an appt. Here's hoping!

Hi ladies,  smile.gif

I have just started experiencing these same symptoms that you are describing (pelvic pain, back pain) except mine is a bit higher, more like abdominal pain and upper leg pain, along with the back pain, but I am also experiencing a bit of a discharge (not red).   I have no history of  fibroids, and I don't think that its a bladder infection because going to the bathroom is normal.  I thought the pains might be from bowel problems which I  sometimes have, but that doesn't seem to be it either.  It feels like I'm getting my period, but it doesn't come.  I have no itching, but could this be a vaginal infection?
