Hello,

have you considered publishing a book ?

I don't have access to my laptop on some of my trips, and having
a sort of "quick reference guide " would be a great way to get some
encouragement during the moments of feeling like *&*(#$ !!

I know, as if you don't have enough to do, but I would pay any
amount to have a book like this could be.

Even if it was "The Best of Powersurge"......as a lot of postings may
be similar.

The format would be so we could add updated material, after printing
it out ourselves. A small clip folder sort of arrangement even.

I would be prepared to go through ALL the postings if you wanted to,
and select whatever seems original and catergorise them.

Ok, just a suggestion, you get up off the floor now. ohmy.gif

( I am all over the place with regards to knowing where to publish my post. It's just a little frustrating as not everyone is viewing this site, and as a result, I may not get any responses. Would it be possible to just have the option of any new post just being put at the top of an expanding tree thread.....so it means everyone gets to read them ?? and if we wanted to view them in categories, then the option for that sort of layout would also be available...... ok..am shutting up now !)

have posted this in my Control Panel....not a good start... wink.gif

Yes I think it's a good idea too.
Good bedtime reading and for dipping into!

I think its a great idea. I'd be the first one to buy it and what a great gift for someone who was just starting out on peri-menopause. I'd love to see a book published of this kind.

I'm Not Having A Hot Flash,
I'm Having A Power Surge!

Alice Stamm, aka Dearest
Sometime in the very near future

The pathos, emotions, intimate stories of the women of Power Surge.
Their journey through the transitional time of life called menopause.
The physical changes, psychological and emotional challenges, the
spiritual awakening only after years of self-doubt and finally accepting
being superwoman to everyone but oneself is counter-productive. The
final realization that doctors aren't Gods and that women have to become
educated, proactive in their own health care because no one knows their
bodies the way they do. Shared stories with thousands of women in transition.

I'll be first in line for my copy!

Yeah, I love the idea of a PowerSurge book. Lets do it.
I am a graphic designer and I can lay it out and design the book cover.

Who is on board?

Hi Caulses,
I know this is an old post....but did you ever get that Claire Weekes book? That is the correct spelling
and all three or four of her books are just my walk around bible for anxiety.
Happy day,

I am a freelance writer and editor. I'd love to help out with a Power Surge book! Just think how many women out there would be educated and comforted by it.

Caulses -

The name of the book is "Hope and Help for Your Nerves" by Claire Weekes. You can get it on Amazon and
can even get it used on Amazon. I have the book and also some audio tapes. She sounded like a tough old bird. I can't say it helped me much, but maybe I didn't give it a chance. I feel like my anxiety is very physical and have not had success with the positive thinking type of thing. But thats just me. Others online have mentioned this book as a great help to them, that is why I bought it. It does help you remember that you won't die of the "nerves" (probably!) and that is a good reminder. Its a fairly cheap book with good practical "old school" advice.

Hi, ladies! The idea of a book about Power Surge and the collected wisdom and experiences is very appealing to me. I have writing most of my life, with some publication, and I would be proud to assist in any way I can! What better authors and contributors than those living and experiencing all of this? Count me in, please! rolleyes.gif
