I had been fairly 'controlled' on my power surges after trying Revival, and was feeling fairly good (for perimeno). I am still using the same amt of Revival and not changed anything in my life, and all of a sudden--the flashes have been horrific for the last 2 months or so. Worse than they've ever been. I have missed 3 periods in a row,but this would not be the first time that has happened. I tend to be sporadic right now--have 2 periods, skip 3, have one , skip one---no rhyme or reason. That, in itself, is not the problem. I expect to be hit and miss with periods. Have any of you who are post meno had a rush of symptoms --like over whelming number of hot flashes a day, just before the periods finally stopped? I can't figure out for the life of me why this is so INTENSE all of a sudden--I am warm every minute almost, then (as sometimes happens with PS's) I am FREEZING till the next PS. What gives?

I'm 25 wks since last period. The Saturday before last I had a sudden migraine which left me with a muzzy head for a week (never b4 usually just get auras). Since then I've had the most terrible hot flashes many times a day! Sometimes before them I feel quite sickly then pow. Sometimes it follows the wierdest feeling - like I'm going to die(How would I know???) :roll: . I told my husband how fed up I am of wearing wet clothes, my bra, the small of my back where there's a continuous drip into my knickers. I'm seriously thinking of having a trough installed between my buttocks with a hose attached running down my trouser leg. That would keep me dry! Now where's my inventors kit?

Alice--- You're too much! I am picturing your 'trough' and hose. 8) I am still having the same many power-surges a day. Taking about 2-3 showers a day. also. I just feel sticky..........and icky.........and HOT! And with the colder weather coming, I find I am freezing (probably from being damp) and feel that way right up until-------WHAM. The flash hits. I am wondering if anyone who is post-menopausal has noticed a mega-display of symptoms right before it all ends and (hopefully) the blessed day comes when this is over? IS there a storm before the calm?

virgomom, I wish I could say yes, there's a storm before the calm, but in my case.....I don't think so. I'm 26 weeks postmeno. All of my symptoms have just either faded away completely, or are much less troublesome now. I still have hot flashes, but they are just feelings of warmth. However, it's cold here, so we will see what happens in the summer when the weather heats up.

I think even though we can all relate, everyone's situation is different. I take a mini dose of an estradiol patch and have still stuffed frozen vegis down my shirt.
I'm not increasing it either, because that P drug makes me more NUTZO. Plus, more estradiol did squat for me.
