I had surgery for DCIS stage o breast cancer in May and my doctor wants me to take tamoxifen. I had been using natural progesterone for three years prior because of a hormone imbalance that happened after I was on bcps. I felt much better on the progesterone than when I was on bcps. But now I am unsure what to do. My compounding pharmacist thinks I should stay on the progesterone and I want to. I did have positive hormone receptors and have had progesterone always test low on saliva tests and now cortisol is high too. I had so many side effects when I was on the pills and am worried about that again. I am 41 and premenopausal. Anyone out there still use nhrt after surgery?
