Just went to ortho and found out I have a shoulder spur. Can such a little thing really cause so much pain? The top of my shoulder and side of my neck is killing me, not to mention the daily aches and pains that wander throughtout my body. Can these really be related to perimenopause as well? Just want it to end. Take care, all.sad.gif

Hi...To say, menopause is the tender age to be affected anything. Please do some exercises and yoga tricks. They will help far better in not only reducing stress but also body pains. Take advice from physician before doing. Take care of your health.

I don't think this is necessarily a womens meno thing - my Hubby just had an op to have a shoulder spur removed and he was told it is actually more common in men of middle age. Sorry you are having the pain, did they suggest an op to relieve it?

Hey there Wonderwoman!
I'm feeling for you. Sounds really painful. I've never heard of a shoulder spur. What it is? Can you get any relief?

Hi:
I had a similiar thing, and ended up having surgery in February, sometimes it takes surgery, then physical therapy to get better. Try Physical Therapy first, then if that does not work, you have to have surgery. My arm was just in a sling for a week, straight into PT. It is very painful, I can relate. I still exercise every day, you have to build your strength back up, and be extra careful you do not re-injure it. Best of lack. Make sure you get a good Dr. and PT
