Just wanted to give everyone a heads up that has a problem getting wet enough to have sex. I have had the problem for several years and I am only perimenopausal, however, I have found a lubricant that has really helped the situation. It is made in Canada, and has recently become available in the US. I saw it advertised on the "Talk Sex with Sue" show that plays on the Oxygen channel on Sunday nights. The product is called "intime" and can be purchased at *** It has really helped my sex life.

This is my first post... I have been showing signs of vaginal dryness with sex and as a result felt burning too. I have tried Ky inserts and helps alittle. Anyone have suggestions? I also try to drink alot of fluids as I heard that helps the dryness. Do you think the burning is a result of the dryness during sex? Thanks for any suggestions.

Can anyone tell me if this is what they experience as dryness?
I am wet..but it's the wrong kind of wet. It's like water vs oil. I am not "slippery" anymore. I only get slipper at ovuation for a few days. Is this considered dryness as well (despite being wet)?

Do not know if this will help anyone else.I had uterus taken out when I was 26 and then when I was 36 had to have ovaries takenI took premarin for about 15 years. and I had dryness all that time.I then started on estratest and stayed on that for only about a year.It made my feet swell so I stopped taking it.Then one day my pharmisist gave me syntest the generic of estratest. And to my surprise my dryness is gone.Stay wet all of the time. I felt extra mean for about a week and then I started to feel good.I do not have any side effects. When I was on estratest i had to take it before I went to bed because my feet and ankels would swell a lot.But with the syntest I can take it in the morning.Well I hope this helps someone.

I went thru menopause at 45 and at the same time a divorce. So for 7 years, I did not have any sex. Finally, became involved and OWW! As I was not taking any HRT the vaginal tightness was a real problem, which I had not anticipated! and had a great amount of difficulty the first time even with lots of astroglide. The 2nd time I was in severe pain with blisters. The gyn said this is fricition and vaginal wall thinness. My gyn said to use vagi tablets. To a degree it has helped with the tightness but I still need to use a lot of astoglide and if don't have real problems. Does anyone know how long it takes for the vaginal walls to become more elastic again? Also there must be a natrual product out there which can take the place of the tablets I just have not been able to find it. Tissues are very senstive to most products. ( ahh the joys of being 50!) I have found that putting aloe vera gel on the lips has helped ease the "after" soreness. and certainly when I got the blisters it was a life saver! The burning part is related to the ability to lubricate I am sure. Also, I have found ky jelly causes that burning senstation and astroglide does not. I think menopause and the vaginal wall thinning makes your tissues more senstive too.
