I don't have a clue about vitamin A, but I know my mom said vitamin E helps with hot flashes and B12 helps with other symptoms during menopause. I'm new here so I haven't found everything there is on here. Hope I was of some help;)

I went and bought some vitamin A yesterday and then looked it up on the web. Too much of it can be toxic : Now after spending too much on it and wishing I`d chosen the vitamin C... I`m afraid to take the darn stuff

Sure do wish I could find where I read about that vitamin A on this site though because it said to take a high dosage!

Try looking under 'recommendations'. You can get to it through the quick links at the top of this page. The Active Woman's Multi Vitamin does contain Vitamin A if you look under the complete list of ingredients. Did you try a search of 'vitamin A'? If you have a question about which vitamins will help you with your symptoms, you can ask Pete the pharmacist under 'Ask the Experts'. I wonder if the web information you found was about accutane which is used for severe acne and is a very high dose of vitamin A used for a limited length of time under very close supervision. Another form of vitamin A is Retin A which is a topical(cream or gel) used for acne, but many people use it for wrinkles. Both of these require prescriptions. My daughters' dermatoligst cautions Retin A can actually make the wrinkles worse with age because it thins the layers of skin plus it has a very drying effect on the skin. ~Helen

Thanks so much for answering that Helen. I`ll have a look and it does make more sense what it`s for. Maybe I just jotted it down wrong and meant to put a different vitamin. I took one yesterday but think i`ll just dump the rest in the garbage to be on the safe side. I definately don`t want my skin to get any thinnner either LOL
