Does anyone get sore breasts - it seems I have 1 nice week and 2 weeks of sore breasts then the period - I was thinking oh I have breast cancer but my gyno says sore breasts are not a sign of cancer - it just seems they are always sore - during my period it winds down to normalcy and it just seems I am freaking out about the boobs - I asked this lady about her sore boobs, she says oh I get mine 3 days before my period - she is not where I am at I thought - well what is with the sore breasts -in perimenopause -

HI gunner43 Yes, I have had the sore breasts. About 1- 1/2 yrs ago, I would have the sore breasts for 15-20 days out of the month. Then the period came and during the period the soreness went away. As soon as the period was gone , they would get sore again. Til the next period. That went on for about 1 yr. Now that has gone away, but they still get sore for about 1 week before my period. I too get sore breasts although it's difficult to say if it's linked to pre-period since I am so irregular. My left one is always more sore than the right, so naturally I too think it's something worse. I even went to my GYN for her to check. Thankfully, it was nothing. I go for my annual Mammo next week, so that will answer any questions. At least I know WE'RE ALL NOT CRAZY!!! EJ

Yes, I had the sore breasts starting about a week before my period. They lasted for several years and sometimes would become rather lumpy. My doctor told me to cut down on the caffeine and it worked. Funny side note: Sore breasts was always my first early indicator that I had become pregnant - just days before my period was due to arrive. Anyone else experience that? Tina
