I am dreaming constantly at night. I don't have night sweat's, but dream. Even when I wake up and stay awake for about 1 to 2 hour's, when I go back to sleep I dream again. I know we all dream at night, but we don't remember the dream's for the most part, however, I have been for the last 6 month's or so. I talked with a lady in the office where I work. She said that she was having nightmare's before she was put on her birthcontrol pill. Anybody else doing this?

Hi Nanna, I have always been a 'dreamer', and the strange thing is I ALWAYS remember the dreams when I wake up! I've noticed, however, since entering the wide world of peri, that I have lots more 'strange' dreams. Some are actually unnerving. I guess I could call them nightmares. I live alone, so waking up after these disturbing dreams is sometimes frightening, and I can't go back to sleep. My girlfriend said she RARELY ever dreamed, but since becoming menopausal, she dreams about every night! Don't know if this helped or not! HUGGERS! Kleeo

I have always had very vivid dreams, too. When I was younger, they were usually about someone trying to kill me. I usually woke up before that happened smile.gif Then I went through a period of several years where the dreams were more about houses. None were places I'd ever lived, but many of them appeared in several different dreams. This year things have definitely gotten worse. I have a lot of dreams that I'm having a heart attack and when I wake up, I'm sure that I died. It was amusing waking up in the middle of the night and trying to convince my husband that he couldn't talk to me because I was dead. These have been the most unnerving of the dreams I've had, and they seem so real to me. I don't know what these are all about, but I'd like some of the nice floating type dreams!

Oh my goodness, MaryO! I can't imagine having a dream like that! How horrible! I've noticed many of my 'recent' bad dreams are of someone being in my room with me, when there is nobody there. Almost like a 'spirit' or something - VERY spooky! I wake up and I look in EVERY closet and under EVERY bed! lol And it doesn't matter where I am, in a motel, at home, or wherever. I've also had 'house' dreams, but the houses were haunted. STRANGE for sure. Wonder if it's an overload of hormones making us dream these odd things? I even went so far as to wonder if it were my husband's spirit coming back to visit, because my daughter and I had a VERY similar dream the same night once about a year ago. If it is him, I wish he'd let me know so I wasn't so freaked!! I've always heard that if a person dies and they have unsettled business, they don't rest in peace until things are taken care of. Lord knows he had things that were unsettled-leaving a 29 year old wife and a 4 year old daughter. LISTEN to me! I think I need to take a vitamin!!!!! HUGGERS! Kleeo
