I read about a trick for night sweats using coconut oil (has to be real coconut oil that's solid at room temp or in fridge--where it should be stored)--not sun oil.
Coconut has cooling properties, and if you take some solid coconut oil on your hands and rub till it melts from the warmth of your palms, then rub it into your scalp going under the hair and rubbing it into the scalp for comfort as well as distribution. Then take what's left on your hands and smooth onto hair. You will need to put a towel over your pillow, of course to sleep. Then take some of the oil and rub into your feet. The cooling action you may feel right away (I did) and it kept me from feeling that insufferable hot feeling all night long! I have been on Revival, so this has something to do with it, but I had not a bit of heat all night.
Wash the oil out in the shower in the AM and it will smooth frizzies too! It's good for hair in summer weather.

Hey virgomom,
My husband has been using organic coconut oil in his green tea in the a.m. He feels less stiff in the morning lately. I take Country Life Omega-3 Mood capusles. Also good for stress, anxiety, menopause symptoms, cardiovascular, etc. Debbi:P

You can get pure coconut oil at any health or natural food store. If you wish to use it as a pure soild, place the jar in the refrigator, or set outside on the counter for room temp, which will make it an oil. Hope it works for you;)

What Indigo said.
And, I have been using it regularly lately, since my night sweats have recently incresed in frequency and intensity for the last 2 mos.
Rub it into your feet also. Cools you 'high and low'.

And softens feet.

Glad you've found coconut oil. Yes it's wonderful and lubricates the scalp and the hair is silky. Has to be 100% like she said; gets hard in cold, liquidy in heat.
Also try 100%aloe vera gel. At CVS look in the body washes or nightcreams or better yet ask. They keep about three tubes only these days. They sell lots of aloe vera that has other things in it. I use it after I wash my hair if at night before going to bed. It keeps my scalp cool.
