This is the first month that I have been off the pill. I also did not get my period (yea, I think...looking forward to 11 more months of this). Strangely enough, I had minimal to no symptoms this month - no breast tenderness, sweats/flashes have subsided a little, etc. Is this usual? EJ

Well it takes about 3 months to get the bc pills out of your system, I was fine for the first month than wacko for the next 2 - count each day as a blessing.

What I'd read about peri and the pill is it seems to help a third, does nada in a third, and makes symptoms worse in a third. After giving birth I could never, ever tolerate BC pills. By day 3, they'd plunge me into morbid despair. My sister took them for awhile in peri, because she felt they helped her symptoms. In retrospect, she wondered if the increased estrogen, from BC pills, led to growth of her fibroid. She's pass this wacky stage now!!!!!
