Ope2004
Hi I am 44 and have noticed change in the appearance of my breasts. I have kind of vergetures or streak appearing everywhere. The skin above the nipple is getting uneven, it almost looks like a bunch of wrinkles. It is so ugly that I won't undress in front of my husband anymore. The doctor said it was due to aging! Is this a sign of menopause? cancer? What can I do? I am desperate.......
Meryl
Ope, I have long stretch marks above my nipples that look like streaks. Lots of them. This is normal. It doesn't sound like your doctor seemed worried. Did he recommend a mammogram? It sounds like you did the right thing by going to the doctor. I guess other changes I've noticed are blue veins, tiny red blood blisters, and of course, the cursed drooping. I also have a weird pink growth that's been there for years, and they tell me it's nothing. Sounds like a pretty picture, doesn't it? If you're really concerned I would ask him for an ultrasound. Hugs, M.

Oh Meryl! THAT D~R~O~O~P word! I despise it! lol...my poor breasts have headed 'south' ever since the birth of my daughter, and it's been all down hill from there, so to speak! I have the little red bumpy things too. My Mom was the one that saved my sanity there by showing me ALL of hers! The aging process sure can be nasty can't it! sad.gif But you know what? Every time I have a NEGATIVE mammogram, I thank GOD for my breasts - sagging or NO sagging! They may not look as good as they once did, but they are HEALTHY! HUGGERS! kleeo

I'm with you, Kleeo! Negative is the sweetest word in the dictionary!

Meryl You have blue veins on your breasts too?I just noticed them on mine recently, most noticable in early mornings....what are they anyway? They look really horrible.
Meryl
Jadebear, I've got blue veins all over my body. Blue veins, red dots -- I'm in technicolor! I don't care about these things as long as I feel good and I'm healthy!

I know two people with breast cancer, so you are right to be grateful for healthy breasts. One had both breasts removed, the other it had spread to her lymph nodes. I'm small, and they kind of resemble fried eggs, after nursing two bambinos. Mammogram looked good, though.

I have the veins on my breasts too, more pronounced than they used to be-I assume it's from 'aging' (AND sagging?) and I have the little red dots too. Must have inherited those from my Mom. She's PEPPERED with them! She told me they are 'love' dots. SURE they are.....lol. THANK YOU GOD because so far my breasts have been VERY healthy, in spite of the cysts that I've lived with for years! Kleeo

Well, sigh... I have a black hair coming out of one nipple, just like a witch might have! Too tender to pluck, for years I've just shaved it away every week!wink.gif chris, LOL, I like the "fried egg" metaphor - suits me too. Right now my breasts are so tender, I've been walking around like Frankenstein - arms outstretched - don't touch me! I volunteer at our local library, and could hardly carry the books today, and can't possibly carry the grandchildren! Add to this the all-day nausea, and I feel more pregnant than when I was carrying my daughter! Will this ever end?

Hi Ladies. these red dots your all talking about , do they look like the head of a pin or smaller? I too have noticed them recently and was starting to wonder if i should be worried. Do you ever get them on the bicep of your arm? Or shoulder? Most of mine are in the chest area. Not many at one time, just a few here and there.
Meryl
I've showed the red dots to a doctor, and he told me they are nothing. I have them in other places too. They are very small.
