I NEVER had a problem with acne until now. I'm 45 and have numerous other peri symptoms but now I am getting constant breakout on my neck, it's awful. There are the big type taht leave scars....I just ordered some Proactiv to see if that will help...can this really be hormone related?

Hi Carole, I've notice that I break out lots more now. I've been having an 'acne' type rash around the chest area just above my breasts. SO annoying. I am thinking maybe it's from sweating at night. Who knows! But in a way it makes sense, if we think about it. Lots of teenagers get acne when they go through puberty. And isn't that from hormone changes? Strange!! Huggers! Kleeo

Hi I never had acne very bad as a teenager either. But now I get cystic acne on my face! Yuck! And this time last year I was having breakouts on my back and scalp! Definitely think it's from hormones! And how can the skin on face be soooo oily and the rest of my skin soooo dry it itches! Ugh! Take care and let us know if the Proactiv works for you. Jan
