Thanks to everyone here - I FINALLY did it! I went to the dentists and had a filling replaced and I felt the panic and coped! It was the bravest thing I've ever done (given the fact that I ran away last time, a year ago), and I have learned that panic reaches a peak - and doesn't kill you - and it passes.I feel WONDERFUL right now, so just want to say thanks to all the people who gave me a thought and helped me through. It worked - you are all stars!

Jools,
That is quite an accomplishment for you...that is great! I bet you feel so much better about things and this experience will help you know you can cope with anything....
A bouquet of flowers back to you!!

Congrats Jools......You deserve the Gold medal today. I too have issues with the dentist and even when I'm anxiety free an upcomming trip to the dentist can set me off. You should give yourself some special pampering for a job well done.

Snowie - of COURSE I will come over the pond and hold your hand! But, cos I'm scared of flying, first you'd have to come over the pond and hold my hand so I could go back over the pond with you and then hold YOUR hand. Then you'd have to come back across the pond with me (holding MY hand...) and then go back across the pond. I guess it could be an expensive trip to the dentist!!
