I just read SEX, LIES, AND MENOPAUSE, and I'll admit to being more confused than ever. There is a lot of terrific medical information in it about sex hormones, but I'm still leary of their advice. Anyone else read this book? Also, I'm 42, will be 43 in March, and my period is a week late. I had my tubes tied after my 4th child when I was 37. Would that make me go into menopause early? My periods have been mostly regular with an occasional late one, and two years ago, I had one that lasted 21 days! The dr. put me on birth control pills and I only took them for 2 months. I'm afraid of those things! They make me nearly suicidal. I took them off and on for a total of nearly 7 years, and now I'm wondering if I've condemned myself to breast cancer. I have a lot of fears and anxiety right now. HELP!!!!
